Seems I get too busy to do what I like to do. Well I decided I needed to take a minute and update, no new news about info on Sorina guitars besides what is posted here. I’d like to thank those that do post new information about what you have or have learned, it’s great to know i’m not alone with my Sorina bass. Any pics or video links that anyone has can be sent to redrooster424@yahoo.com and EVENTUALLY i will get to them to post on the site. I’ve been trying to make some miles on the road so it’s hard to find time to keep up with everything I need to. I guess I do have one update, Robert writes:
Hi,
I’ll share with you the knowledge I have about my Sorina Bass. I purchased mine in 1985, while stationed in Pohang, South Korea, during my enlistment in the USMC. A music shop sold it new. When I asked the owner about the Gibson label, he said it had “official Gibson parts”. I brought the bass to the States when I came back in 1985, and it is going up for sale now for Christmas money. A move a will probably regret, but currently is necessary. Also, mine includes a label, suspect a serial number: S. B. 330
Hope you find the info of some use,
Robert
Thanks Robert!

Welcome to the Sorina Guitar community. I am creating this in hopes of starting a community that revolves around the name Sorina. I found a bass guitar wearing this name and couldn’t find anything on the web about it. Fascination was sparked and now i am determined to find out more about this name “Sorina”. The bass sounds great and appears to have some age to it. Even if it is a cheap instrument it deserves more recognition. So if you have any stories or information or questions, feel free to post and i will try to help out. Thanks, Red Rooster.
